The Assistant Beverage Manager assists the Beverage Manager by overseeing all beverage operations, ensuring maximum guest service and quality standards.

Duties:

  • Ensure outstanding service to both regular and VIP guests.
  • Address guest complaints promptly to ensure satisfactory resolutions.
  • Implement solutions to enhance department operations and revenue generation.
  • Manage food, beverage and labor costs within the department.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to maintain proper stock levels, inventory control and quality of purchased goods.
  • Communicate with management, other departments and designated personnel to address departmental needs.
  • Create and manage recipe files, production schedules, specifications, and cost analysis sheets.
  • Work with management on menus, specials and future developmental plans.
  • Report any damaged or broken equipment to Engineering and upper management.
  • Ensure food and beverage safety protocols are followed.
  • Ensure safety standards are followed and report unsafe conditions to management.
  • Address sanitation issues and maintain high cleanliness and organization standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must obtain an Alcohol Awareness Card.
  • Five or more years’ experience in hotel restaurant/casino outlets or individual restaurants, specifically in a high-volume environment.
  • Background in bartending and Alcohol Management training.
  • Experience in pre and/or post opening of hotel/casinos or major restaurants or beverage.
  • General understanding of spreadsheets and computer operations.
  • Proficiency with the Micros system.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
