Job Opening :: Assistant Beverage Manager
The Assistant Beverage Manager assists the Beverage Manager by overseeing all beverage operations, ensuring maximum guest service and quality standards.
Duties:
- Ensure outstanding service to both regular and VIP guests.
- Address guest complaints promptly to ensure satisfactory resolutions.
- Implement solutions to enhance department operations and revenue generation.
- Manage food, beverage and labor costs within the department.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to maintain proper stock levels, inventory control and quality of purchased goods.
- Communicate with management, other departments and designated personnel to address departmental needs.
- Create and manage recipe files, production schedules, specifications, and cost analysis sheets.
- Work with management on menus, specials and future developmental plans.
- Report any damaged or broken equipment to Engineering and upper management.
- Ensure food and beverage safety protocols are followed.
- Ensure safety standards are followed and report unsafe conditions to management.
- Address sanitation issues and maintain high cleanliness and organization standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Must obtain an Alcohol Awareness Card.
- Five or more years’ experience in hotel restaurant/casino outlets or individual restaurants, specifically in a high-volume environment.
- Background in bartending and Alcohol Management training.
- Experience in pre and/or post opening of hotel/casinos or major restaurants or beverage.
- General understanding of spreadsheets and computer operations.
- Proficiency with the Micros system.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
