The Restaurant Chef is responsible for managing, producing and directing the daily production of the restaurant. The ideal candidate would be a team leader by example, continually emphasizing day to day communication skills and commitment to excellent cuisine.

 

Qualifications:

  • A fun attitude.

  • Contagious smile.

  • Desire to work with people.

  • Five or more years in hotel restaurant/casino outlets or individual restaurants pertaining to the specialized high volume area.

  • Must be familiar with all aspects of the particular cuisine for said area (Wok cookery, Continental cuisine, etc.).

  • Culinary background must have an emphasis on high volume, quality ITALIAN cuisine as well as teambuilding, interpersonal and managerial skills.

  • Working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Must have and/or obtain a Washoe County Food Protection Manager Certification.

  • Must be able to lift at least 20 to 30 lbs. repeatedly and 75 lbs. on occasion.
