Job Opening :: Senior System Analyst


The Senior System Analyst is responsible for participation in multiple support and/or development projects providing innovative business solutions that fit system constraints, meet user needs and match the company’s strategic outlook.  Performs application analysis design, development quality assurance, integration and enhancement activities, as well as implementation and related maintenance documentation. 


Job Functions:

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.

  • Technical problem-solving expertise.

  • Design knowledge and/or experience.

  • Advise departments of conceptual design and impact for changes.

  • Perform quality assurance testing to ensure business requirements are met.

  • Develop and participate in development of high-level costs estimates.

  • Participate in multiple support and/or development projects.

  • Keep abreast of current technology.

  • Solid background with working on the IBM iSeries.

  • PC hardware/software knowledge.

  • Willingness to learn new things with a positive attitude.

  • Independent, but also works well as part of a group.

  • Ability to lead small groups and projects.

  • Ability to present and teach materials to end users.

  • Ability to share expertise with IT and team members.

  • Capable of responding to user questions and/or problems in an efficient and effective manner.

  • Capable of responding to support calls from Operations on system problems regarding applications.

  • Work in a multi property environment.



  • Two years or more work experience in a job with systems analysis and design, implementation, testing and training required.

  • Bachelor’s degree or related IT experience.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to meet tight deadlines with absolute dedication to detail.

  • Demonstrate ability to learn new applications quickly.

  • Strong verbal, written and analytical skills for communication.

  • Read and interpret complex information.

  • Maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines.

  • Able to interact positively with others, foster an ethical work environment.

  • Possess knowledge of one or more of the following applications: LMS Hotel, Stratton Warren IP, Guest Pay credit card processing.

  • In depth knowledge of database uses, working knowledge in spreadsheets, word processing and operating systems.

  • Knowledge of running queries/SQL and using DBU on the iSeries.
