Job Opening :: Hotel Engineer
The Hotel Engineer II is responsible for maintaining cosmetics repairs and preventative maintenance in all Western Village
Duties:
- Must have an excellent knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and Heating and Air Conditioning.
- Must have the ability to fully understand directions and read and write English language.
- Must report to work on time and in proper uniform. A neat appearance and personnel hygiene shall be maintained though out the shift.
- Must clean up after each job performed and return all tools and materials to proper storage areas.
- Keep in contact with housekeeping department when entering and leaving the room for more than twenty minutes. Block and unblock as needed.
- Must be able to communicate with hotel guests and always be friendly and pleasant.
- Never disturb room amenities or linen in any room. Do not use towels for rags.
- Must have the ability to work in a drug free environment and pass chemical dependency test as required.
- Must use all safety equipment as required.
- Must be safety minded and respond to hazards immediately.
- Assist and perform related duties in all areas of the Engineering Department as needed.
- The ability to stand, walk and bend for long periods of time and be able to lift 50 pounds comfortably.
- Order all parts needed for stock.
- Keep all work areas neat, clean and hazard free.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or trade school equivalent required.
- Previous casino maintenance experience or commercial properties.
- Be organized, flexible and able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Adhere to Western Village policies and Engineering policies.
- Perform related duties as assigned by Engineering Hotel Supervisor.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Supply own hand tools and pouch.
