The IT Security Analyst safeguards Peppermill Casino’s information systems and networks by identifying and addressing security risks. Proactively monitors systems, evaluates threats, implements security tools, and collaborates with colleagues to ensure the protection from theft, loss and cyberattacks.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, preferred.

2. 1 to 2 years work experience in information security or analytics-based field, preferred.

3. Possession of or ability to obtain professional certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, CISA) is preferred.

4. General knowledge of the following is preferred: Windows, Linux, mobile OSes, firewalls, DNS, IDS/IPS, anti-virus, Internet Protocol (IP), VLAN, VPN, SIEM, APTs, Active Directory, penetration testing, IT auditing, system administration, software development, encryption, ISO27001, NIST 800-53, CIS V8, GDPR, PCI DSS.

5. General knowledge of cloud computing environments and related security challenges.

6. Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and standards governing information security.

7. Programming/Scripting Language (Java Script, Python, Power Shell).

8. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

9. Convey ideas and goals to a diverse group of technical and non-technical professionals. Passion for information security and a strong desire to learn.

10. Ability to adapt in a constantly changing environment of security and technology.

11. Commitment to staying current with the latest trends, threats, and best practices in cyber security.

12. Passion for information security and a strong desire to learn. Capable of working independently or in a team.
