The Catering Sales Manager solicits, sells and contracts catering events to clientele, with a focus on client satisfaction, food & beverage revenue generation and service excellence.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicates catering events with the department.
  • Solicit, generate and close catering contracts for events.
  • Maintain a minimum of 10 cold call solicitations per week.
  • Build and maintain positive professional relationships with in-house and outside clients through timely, accurate and reliable communication.
  • Book event space, issue contracts and confirm payment with Accounting for all catering bookings.
  • Review assigned department contracts to ensure accurate space assignments and approvals.
  • Prepare and update Banquet Event Orders, diagrams and cost estimates in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate Catering Sales groups and upsell food, beverage, décor and outsourced services.
  • Attend and oversee individually contracted wedding ceremonies and related logistics.
  • Attend tradeshows, expos and networking events to promote business.
  • Cover phones, greet clients and maintain a professional office environment.
  • Assist with producing and distributing reports and documentation as needed.
  • Assist with marketing by monitoring Catering social media and website traffic and other projects as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year Catering or Convention Services management experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce or Delphi preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal direction.
  • Skilled in compiling and analyzing data for reports.
  • Strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
