The Catering Coordinator is responsible for managing food operations for special events. Meet and greet guests, oversee food presentations, coordinate events and décor tasks, manage staff, and perform administrative duties.

Duties:

  • Establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship with in-house and outside clients through effective, accurate, timely and reliable communication and action.
  • Answer all incoming phone calls to the Catering main line utilizing friendly, proper phone etiquette.
  • Coordinate and monitor all In-house departmental events, block and contract appropriate space.
  • Attend meetings and communicate updates with management and team members and other appropriate departments.
  • Maintain and process monthly reports
  • Interact positively with others as a contributing catering team member.
  • Maintain and continually update all SOP’s.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of office experience
  • Background in hotel/resort preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook and general computer skills, with experience in Salesforce/Delphi preferred.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, exhibit a polished presentation and ability to effectively support management.
  • A positive attitude & guest service skills.
  • Team player and ability to work with many different personality types.
