Job Opening :: Assistant AV Event Manager
The Assistant AV Event Manager assists in supervising and scheduling all the Technical Services Technicians for all our convention, events and construction projects. Additionally, they will attend and participate in hotel meetings to determine specifications for convention clients and events as well as maintain equipment inventory for the department’s events, projects and conventions.
Duties:
Walk all meeting rooms and resolve all issues regarding set-up requirements.
Review previous day’s events & requirements and work with Banquet and Convention Service Managers to ensure accurate client billing.
Review and research requirements in advance to ensure accurate scheduling.
Build worksheets and maintain BEOs to ensure all event requirements are well communicated to technicians
Maintain Audio-Visual systems in all areas of the property.
Assist in preparing bids for upcoming events.
Provide management oversight to ensure accurate and timely room setups.
Responsible for tracking inventory levels of expendable items and generating purchase requisitions as needed.
Oversee proper safety practices and presence of Personal Protective Equipment
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Must be able to obtain an OSHA 30 General Industry certification within 14 days of hire.
Three or more years of experience with Audio-Visual equipment and systems.
Self-Directed and self-motivated.
Ability to interact effectively with customers and crew.
