The Restaurant Manager is highly motivated, responsible for both back and front of the house operations, providing maximum guest service and satisfaction while achieving financial goals.

Duties:

· Identify and define business needs, implementing solutions to enhance restaurant operations, guest interactions, cost management, and revenue generation.

· Supervise the preparation of high quality, consistent products.

· Lead by example, emphasizing daily communication and commitment to excellent product and guest service.

· Ensure outstanding service to both regular and VIP guests in the restaurant and at special events, supporting the casino.

· Manage all food, beverage, and labor costs within the restaurant.

· Ensure all food safety protocols are followed.

· Stay informed about all coupons and specials.

· Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to maintain proper stock levels, inventory control and quality of purchased goods.

· Counsel, guide, train and instruct personnel in their duties.

· Ensure Assistant Restaurant Managers have the necessary knowledge and tools to perform their roles.

· Communicate with management, other departments, and designated personnel to address needs related to the Micros system.

· Address guest complaints promptly to ensure satisfactory resolutions.

· Prepare reviews, evaluations, and other employee documentation, maintaining consistency and fairness.

· Work with upper management on menus, specials and future developmental plans.

· Ensure all employees maintain the highest levels of service and professionalism, including adherence to appearance and dress code standards.

· Report any damaged or broken equipment to Engineering and upper management promptly.

· Ensure all safety standards are followed and report unsafe conditions to upper management.

· Conduct weekly and monthly employee meetings, pre and post shift meetings and counseling sessions to foster morale and productivity.

· Keep immediate supervisor informed of significant issues for prompt corrective action.

· Maintain a “hands on” approach and assist team members as needed.

· Create and manage recipe files, production schedules, specifications, and cost analysis sheets.

· Develop and implement creative menus, aiming to be the best Coffee Shop restaurant in Northern Nevada.

· Address sanitation issues in collaboration with the Executive Steward, maintaining high cleanliness and organization standards.

· Meet and greet guests and participate in promotional activities for the Peppermill Food and Beverage department.

· Attend meetings and prepare reports and financial information as requested by upper management.

Qualifications:

· A minimum of 5 + years’ experience is preferred in a high-volume restaurant.

· Must have basis computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

· Must have demonstrated ability to verbally communicate in the English language.

· Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner.

· Must be able to work any day of the week, weekends and holidays.

· Must present a well-groomed appearance.
